Beautiful Vanuatu…
Lets go!

Come to Vanuatu
This is a big shout out to all you divers wanting an absolutely amazing experience of not only another culture but another world.

Over Easter I am organising a tropical get-away to dive the awesome waters of Vanuatu. Vanuatu is home to some of the most beautiful dive sites the oceans have to offer. If it is tropical fish, swim through, wrecks, or mind boggling little critters, Vanuatu has it all!

I have structured the trip around both new divers and the more experienced. It doesn't matter what level diver you are the diving will still blow your mind.

Our trip is divided into two. The first half is in Port-Villa, diving in the tranquil waters that surround Hide-Away Island. There we will experience the local Vanuatu culture, swim in cascading waterfalls, and basically just have a ball of a time.

The extension is to Santo, the home of the S.S. President Coolidge! This wreck is rated as THE BEST SHORE DIVE IN THE WORLD!!! I have personally done about 50 dives on the Coolidge and the wreck is that big that every dive I have seen something different.

I have made a DVD of snap shots taken from the past few trips to the region. If you are interested in having the time of your life and want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city then send me an email to carl@abyss.com.au and I will be sure to get a DVD to you ASAP!

I am looking forward to having some great times with you soon!

Adventures
Lake Jindabyne is a unique destination, it is freshwater (one of the very few interesting freshwater dives site open to non cave divers).

The best thing I like about lake Jindabyne is there is no surge, salt or sand and you wear less weight. You do see the occasional trout and freshwater yabbie (they make good eating).

The dives sites are the remains of the original Jindabyne town ship (model on display in the tourist information centre), in particular Kalkite and Sunny Brae homesteads.

Kalkite is a shore dive to a maximum depth of 12m (could be less if the water levels are down), it is mainly the base ruins of a fairly large homestead, if you run a line from the homestead through the ghost orchard there is a horse drawn cart, we found it once and want to find it again.

Sunny Brae is a more intact home with a machinery shed attached, here you can see the old kitchen, dive down the back steps and out though a line of trees to the ruins of an out lying shed or swim into the machinery shed and look into the loft. There is also a well in the back yard, at the bottom we found a milk urn and other bits an pieces.

This is a relaxing trip, with a diving adventure that improves your diving skills, you really learn the importance of good bouyancy, no dangly bits and careful finning technique in a safe environment.

Hope this is OK

Sue
