Bicycle Tour of Sydney... Ride across the Sydney Harbor Bridge!!!

During your diving internship an Abyss Team Member will introduce you to the BIG city, and amazing coastal living around Cronulla Beach. In the first week we will go on a Bicycle Tour of Sydney. It's a unique way to see the major attractions of Sydney where the journey will be as exciting as the destination! We hop onto a bicycle (accompanied by your guide and Abyss Staff Member) and pedal our way through Sydney's CBD following the major landmarks that dot the city. We'll see the iconic Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbor, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Hyde Park, the Anzac War Memorial and Parliament House among a host of other attractions. Just make sure you bring your camera. You'll be able to take loads of cool photos to put up on facebook! You'll also enjoy riding with the group over the famous Sydney Harbor Bridge and enjoy unforgettable views of Sydney. This tour is definetely a great way to explore Sydney!

Our Bicycle Tour will be a full day, starting with a 8:00am pick up at the Cronulla Beach accomodation and transferred by train to the centre of Sydney.

The bicycle pick-up point is only a short walking distance from the railway, where we will meet the other tour members.

We will pick-up our bikes and a helmet, and after a short briefing, hop onto your cycle to explore Sydney. We will ride through carefully-planned routes that avoid congested roads and show you the major attractions. 

Cycle along with your guide and learn more about the attractions as you pedal your way to them. Stop and appreciate the Sydney Opera House. Constructed over 13 years, the Sydney Opera House is an architectural marvel with a huge shell like exterior. Take pictures with the Opera House in the background. Continue to the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens which is home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna, the Anzac War Memorial, Parliament House, Art Gallery of New South Wales and many more attractions.

There will be a short break for refreshments before you continue to see Chinatown, Sydney Tower and other attractions.

After lunch we will then continue on to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There is something special about cycling across it, viewing the most spectacular harbor in the world!Beginning from the historic Rocks District, ride over the bridge and see spectacular views of the city. Cross the bridge and bike through the district of Kirribilli, past the Governor’s house to the picturesque Lavender Bay.

After this exhilarating and informative ride, you will return to the starting point of this cycling.

We will then walk down to Darling Harbour to the Opera Bar and watch the sun go down over the harbor while enjoying a cold drink.

Honestly, what a perfect way to discover Sydney!
