To qualify for our 100% IE Pass Guarantee, you must:
  • You are require to attend all sessions of the IDC.
  • There are cases where you may pass the IDC but our Course Director advise that you not go to the PADI Instructor Exam until you improve your skills or knowledge development in certain areas. If this is the case you must do the extra 4 days offered between the end of the IDC and the IE.
  • Participate and make a good-faith effort to successfully pass all four segments of your instructor exam, even if you fail one part.

We offer a special Accommidation package for the term of th e IDC & IE combined. This is twin share accommidation, with transport to & from the dive centre plus 2 meals per day. The cost for the 16 day period of the IDC, MSDT &IE is $495

PADI IDC Candidates may now complete a portion of their IDC program online through PADI’s eLearning system. The cost is normally $320 USD but you get it FREE as part of our program! The benefit of this new innovation is that the program can now take advantage of the eLearning option, giving you and your Course Directors more time to devote to in-water sessions and workshops.

Through e-learning your IDC program is now reduced by approximately two days giving you more time to review your theory and fine tune your dive skills with our Pro Team.

The decision to transfer certain sections of the IDC program onto online was based on survey results from PADI Course Directors worldwide, resulting in a NEW and fresh approach to your Instructor training.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must verify if the course director teaching their program is using the NEW 2010 version of the IDC prior to registering for the online program. Some programs running in Australia are still based on the OLD PRE-2010 IDC program and dont offer the online option.

The IDC online program is part of the
IDC Evolution revealed at DEMA 2009 and includes nine sections:
  • General Standards and Procedures*
  • Learning the PADI System
  • Risk Management*
  • Marketing diving
  • Promoting Discover Scuba and Open Water programs*
  • Teaching PADI Specialty courses
  • Business of Diving*
  • Promoting continuing education programs*
  • How to teach the RDP
* These programs have a “part two” discussion component to be completed in person with the Course Director.

You may complete these nine sections in any order. You also get to complete a short assessment at the end of each section, just to verify that you have understood all the material in that section.

The student will need a 2010 PADI Instructor manualand student diver materials for OW, AOW and Rescue to reference during the online training. Whether using eLearning or doing an entirely classroom option, all IDC candidates will need the materials from the new IDC crewpak.

A Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) is a more experienced Open Water Instructor who is much more employable and capable of teaching a large variety of PADI specialty diver courses. By becoming a Master Scuba Diver Trainer you’ll add variety to your instructing, making teaching more fun and exciting, both for you and your students!

The Master Scuba Diver Trainer Preparation Course will teach you how to deliver a range of different PADI specialty diver courses. You’ll start your MSDT prep prior to your PADI Instructor Examination which will also give you 3 additional days of practice presentations prior to sitting your exam.

After you start teaching dive courses, you’ll need 25 student certifications prior to applying to PADI for your groovy new MSDT rating!

If you select the MSDT prep course, by the end of your program you’ll be trained in how to teach:

  • PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course
  • PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course
  • PADI Oxygen Providers Specialty Course
  • PADI Search & Recovery Diver Specialty Course

Exclusions

"Diving Instructor Development Course"

Timmy Seager on 7/2/2010 10:16:39 AM

Comments: I would like to thank Peter and his team for there efforts on my IDC. I felt very prepared and confident for the IE. A week later I was instructing my first open waster course. This confidence and the skills I learnt during my IDC made my first course run very well. Our class had a dyverse back ground and it only added to what we took away from the IDC. I feel I now have a strong base to add to my instructor career. Timmy Seager

Comments: Completing my IDC followed by the IE was a life changing experience that I won't forget, it improved my confidence while making new friends. Peter, Carl & Sam who worked on the course were very professional, they made the course fun and also provided the necessary guidance I needed to pass with flying colors. I strongly recommend the IDC & IE. Greg
