Your Advanced PADI Open Water Course will help you increase your confidence and builds your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water
Our PADI Adventures in Diving program will include knowledge development for the two required topics, the Deep and Underwater Navigation Dives, along with five of the most popular elective dives. These include Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diver, Boat Diver and Underwater Naturalist. This will significantly increase your diving options.
During the in-water training, you will undertake 2 boat dives (a deep dive & a wreck dive) a navigation dive, a buoyancy dive, and an underwater naturalist.
This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your experienced Abyss instructor. Oh, and have lots of fun! That is what your PADI Advanced Open Water Course is all about.
Under PADI standars as well as basic dive equipment (which can be rented) you are required to have a safety sausage and knife.

The eLearning theory training is done on-line with PADI . The in-water training is then completed over 2 days with Abyss Scuba Diving. Once you have regrister we will email you through the link for eLearning and your Password.

As with the PADI Open Water Diver course, the entire PADI Adventures in Diving manual will be available online to divers enrolled in the course. You must be a PADI Open Water Diver before participating in any inwater training.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course online is $130 nonrefundable.The fee covers the knowledge development training as well as unlimited access to the entire PADI Adventures in Diving manual online.
We regulary include an option where by we offer diving on the HMSA Adelaide on the second day of the course.
While on the Adelaide you do your Deep and wreck module and gain experience diving from a boat.
The govement chage a fee of $18 per diver on the Adelaide and this is added to the course cost.
Please note the HMAS Adelaide is a 90 minute drive from Sydney and although we help with car pooling, you are required to have transport.
For safety, all students complete the below Scuba Medical Questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving. If none of these apply, you sign the form and you're ready to start. If any of these apply to you, as a safety precaution your physician must assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical form that confirms that you're fit to dive.
