SSI Divecon Cross over to a PADI Divemaster Course

The SSI Divecon cross over Course will enable you to operate as a PADI divemaster.

As you may know, many PADI Divemasters go on to become PADI Instructors. So, the training and experience you gain through the PADI Divemaster program helps shape your abilities and attitude toward becoming a professional level diving educator. To help shape you into a Dive Professional, PADI has developed the PADI Divemaster Crew-Pak and various other material.

Divemaster qualifies you to

Organize, conduct and supervise recreational diving activities, both land and boat based.
Assist PADI Instructors in conducting PADI Diver programs.
Act as certified instructional assistant to PADI Instructors.
Supervise participants in PADI experience programs for uncertified divers.
Generally supervise both training and no training related diving activities by planning, organizing and directing dives.
Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers and Snorkellers
Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program for certified divers.
Enroll in PADI Instructor level training

Upon successfully completing the PADI Divemaster program, you'll receive a certification card and wall certificate denoting this rating. you'll also become a member of PADI and receive benefits, including the ability to purchase professional liability insurance (which may be required to conduct some activities).

Dive Master Course Duration

3 weekends in a row

As a SSI Dive Con you are qulaified to do either PADI Assistant Instructor or PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor through the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course or the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) instead of having to repeat what they already know and can do.

All it takes is preparation and possibly some remediation. This is often offered by our PADI IDC Staff Instructors and PADI Course Directors through an “IDC preparatory” programme. Typically, this is an assessment of knowledge (pre-study of Diving Knowledge Workbook, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, remediation of RDP Table and The MLeRDP, followed by the PADI Divemaster Final Exam) on the one hand, and assessment of diver skills on the other (all 20 skills from the Skills Evaluation Slate; evaluate demonstration level as in the PADI Divemaster course; some remediation for CESA may be required).
