Abyss Scuba Diving, located just 15 minutes south of Sydney City, and are currently taking applications for diving internships that will take you from a new diver all the way through to an experienced PADI Divemaster or PADI Instructor.

This program is the perfect way to take advantage of the Working Holiday Visa. You will get a guaranteed job placement within 60 days of graduating from your internship, ensuring you begin to get paid work to help you travel and explore Australia!!! How cool is that?

What does the Working Holiday Visa let me do?

Stay and travel and work around Australia for up to 12 months
Study toward becoming a PADI Instructor for up to 4 months
Travel and work in Australia as a PADI Dive Professional for up to 6 months with each dive centre, live-a-board dive vessel or resort location
It is very simple and easy to get these visa's. Basically you just need to be between 18 and 30 years old and comply with a few other criteria.

There are 2 different visa's that let you work and study while on holiday in Australia. These are:

This 8 week program is valuable in terms of learning, and even more valuable in terms of employment. Since you will finish the Internship Program with at least 25 certifications, you have a head start at getting employment after the program. You are no longer an instructor who has just finished the IE, but rather you have more experience behind you with real life teaching and real life problems. The advantage of having this experience when you are applying for a job cannot be overstated.

Requirements

candidates must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or equivalent qualifying rating.
Have a current medical less than 12 months old
Have a current First Aid certificate less than 24 months old (Can be arranged by Abyss if required)
Show proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives
Be a current PADI member
Have all required diving equipment
Have all books requested by the Course Director ( as per materials)
Submit copies of all Dive Certificates

Accommodation
We have accommodation available for all our candidates which is available over the duration of your program. The accommodation is located 500m from the famous Cronulla Beach in Southern Sydney.

Candidates are advised to arrive in Sydney a few days prior to the start of their program to settle in prior to the start of their program.
We offer transfers to and from the accommodation and the training facility during your Internship commitments. Normal pickup time is 7:15 to 7:30pm, and drop off time is 5:15 to 5:30pm each day.

Costs are only during the set time frame of your internship.
