Sydney dive shop

"I had been going to school in the Sydney area for the past year and just assumed that diving in the area wouldn't have much to offer. As I cruised around on the internet I found that Sydney actually had a lot to offer, the weedy seadragons especially interested me. After emailing a few Sydney dive shops , Abyss seemed to be the most helpful and offer the best deals of all the dive shops.

Once we arrived at the dive shop everyone was helpful and patient as our group went through the process of finding the right gear. At the dive site, I was impressed with the organisation and concern for safety of the entire group.

We were divided into groups according to ability so everyone would benefit as much as possible. Our goal for the day was to count weedy seadragons in the area so we were well informed on how to identify them and not harm them when we did find them. Our first dive was incredible, there was so much to see and the visibility was 10-12 metres. Not only did we see weedy seadragons, but also a Port Jackson shark, cuttlefish and a dwarf lionfish,as well as numerous other fish that I can't identify. Between dives, Peter offered advice to those who needed it and even took one diver down to the water early to give him some in-water advice. The second dive went much the same, visibility a bit poorer, but still the incredible amount of marine life. I was very impressed with not only the diving in Sydney, but also the service that Abyss offered. Thanks a lot.

If I'm ever in Sydney again I'll be sure to look you up for another dive."
