Hideaway Island, Vanuatu is a nice easy, quick, inexpressive escape and is perfect for divers and non-divers. With just a short 3 hour flight to arrive to warm clear water, easy diving it is a popular destination. For our New Years trip we have booked the island so there will be a heap of cool people to dive with and chill out with between dives. There is great snorkelling around the island and a range of accommodation to suit all budgets. This trip is open to all divers, non-diver and families.
This year we have taken the island over for the Christmas – New Year Period 28 December – 4 January so why don’t you join us.
Coral reefs ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling straight from the shore, paddleboards, beach volleyball, sea kayaks and various tours can be organised. Hideaway can be used as a base of other tours such as game or reef fishing, visiting the waterfalls, having a round of golf, or just checking out the Port Villa markets.
Hideaway Island’s Marine Sanctuary is one of the few places where one can hand feed hundreds of “tame” brilliantly coloured fish in a safe protected area right from the beach. The restaurant and bar are located on the beach for waterfront dining offering superb meals of fresh seafood and local produce. Hideaway Island Resort has a fresh water swimming pool and is also the home of the Underwater Post Office. Custom village tours are available through the local Mele village.
