This trip will be based around the Lady Darling and Aughinish Rocks (a couple of kms south of Montague).
The Lady Darling: Expect to see a lot of life on this dive. The wreck is completely covered in growth. The vessel went down in November 1880 (the same year Ned Kelly was hanged) en route from Newcastle to Melbourne and lies in a depth of 30m. It was not found until 1996 and is beautiful. For more info on the wreck and its history, I suggest you read the details on the Lady Darling
The Lady Darling is great dive, strong currents but lots to see, covered in growth. Due to the currents this is a non-rebreather trip.
Auginsh reef is south of Montague Island with a maze of canyons and large fans growing from the walls. It goes down to 40m and starts at about 5m. Might be best to do as a drift as it is known for its strong currents. So the boat will stay live to pick us up!
