Winter is the best time of the year for scuba diving in Sydney. Generally, the seas are calmer and the visibility is a lot better. The calmer conditions allow us to access sites that can rarely be dived in summer like Voodoo, Cape Solander, and Shark Point. The marine life action also changes in winter bringing the much-loved Port Jackson sharks out and we can observe cuttlefish mating and even the whales migrate.
So don't pack away your scuba dive gear when the weather cools down. Instead, add some thermal wear and enjoy the great diving that Sydney has to offer in winter. We stock thermal vests, hoods, socks and heated under suits that provide ultimate thermal protection and superior comfort.
