The PADI Deep Diver Speciality course will teach you techniques that will make recreational deep diving safe and fun. You will learn deep diving limits and how to stay with in them, while gaining valuable experience of diving to 40m. Your skills and abilities as a diver will improve as you practise deep diving techniques. You will find that the PADI Deep Diver training opens the doors to new dive sites and new adventures. You will do a 40m dive under the guidance of an experienced instructor while you experience nitrogen narcoses first hand. You will see how depth effects colour, and how pressure effects a range of objects at depth.

This is a very practical course with no theory exam.

  • You must be 15 years of Age
  • You must be an adventure diver or higher certification

What does the course include

  • The course includes 4 boat dives under the direction of an instructor (30m, 18m, 40m, 30m.)
  • Second Tank where needed
  • Text Book to keep
  • PADI Deep Diver Speciality Certification
What do you need to provide
All dive gear including a dive computer

You are required to have full dive gear including a knife, a Reel and Safety Sausage

For safety, all students complete the below Scuba Medical Questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving. If none of these apply, you sign the form and you're ready to start. If any of these apply to you, as a safety precaution your physician must assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical form that confirms that you're fit to dive.

Comments: I had my Deep Course was with Emma (Instructor). We learned a lot on how to make 40 m dive a safe dive. An experience in sharing air from a pony tank is very valuable. I am happy I have done it. As a group of divers - we had a great time. On first day of the course, Mat – a young diver doing his professional training with Abyss – was helping Emma. Great young bloke, thank you Mat for all your help. Having good visibility on dive sites like Pig Island and Apartments is enough to go for the course... More details

Comments: The Deep Course with Jamie was fantastic. Trying to plough through theory after a long day at work is tough at the best of times but Jamie made it interesting by mixing personal experience with the theory. The practical course was fantastic - great to learn how I react (completely narked!!!) to depth in a supervised dive with a great instructor.
