Diving in the Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands is a diver's paradise and a photographer's dream. This exotic wonderland offers varied landscapes, rich cultural and biological diversity, and unparalleled diving experiences. The waters around Gizo, our base for the Solomon Islands Dive Christmas - New Years Trip 2024, are protected and generally calm, making it an ideal diving destination.

Dive Gizo: Your Underwater Adventure Awaits

Partnering with Dive Gizo, we offer up to 2 boat dives a day to different dive sites. Whether you're a seasoned diver or a newbie, you'll love the variety of underwater landscapes, vibrant marine life, and historical wrecks that await you.

WWII Wrecks

One of the highlights of diving in Gizo is the Tao Maru - a Japanese transport ship from WWII, sitting between 7-37 meters deep. This wreck is a must-see for any history buff, offering a unique chance to explore a piece of history frozen in time. There are also several plane wrecks from WWII in the area, adding to the intrigue and adventure.

Grand Central Station

Located at the most northwestern tip of the Gizo Islands, Grand Central Station is another popular dive site. Known for its strong currents and diverse fish life, this site offers a thrilling experience for divers looking for a bit more adventure.

Relax during your surface interval with a picnic lunch on one of Gizo's remote islands. It's all part of the Abyss Scuba Diving experience.

Stay at Fatboys Resort

After your day of diving, unwind at Fatboys Resort, Bar, and Restaurant. Located on Mbabanga Island, just a 15-minute boat ride from Gizo, Fatboys offers tastefully appointed bungalows surrounded by lush greenery.

Experience the tranquility of island life, indulge in local cuisine at the restaurant, or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bar. The resort's location and amenities ensure your stay is as relaxing and enjoyable as your dives.
