FAQs for First-Time Divers
Is scuba diving safe for beginners?
Yes! Our small group sizes and highly trained instructors ensure a safe, enjoyable learning experience—even if you’ve never dived before.
What if I feel nervous or anxious underwater?
That’s completely normal. We move at your pace, and our instructors are trained to support nervous or anxious first-time divers.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You should be able to swim 200 metres and float for 10 minutes. You don’t need advanced swimming skills—just basic water confidence.
How long is the course?
Only 2 in‑person days. You complete the theory part online before arrival using PADI eLearning.
What’s included in the price?
Includes all equipment, PADI eLearning materials, certifications and expert instruction.
When can I start?
Courses start every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Choose a date that suits you, or contact us for help booking.
Can I wear glasses or contacts?
Yes! Contacts are fine, and we also offer prescription mask options if needed.
What happens after I get certified?
You’ll be a certified Open Water Diver—ready to explore the world! Plus, we run more local dives than any Sydney dive centre, so you can keep diving straight away.
