General Manager, PADI Course Director and Avelo Instructor Trainer
Rachael has been a PADI Instructor since 2000 and was one of the founding members of the Abyss team. She helps divers progress from beginner training through to professional-level development.
Known as Bo, Mengbo has taught diving in many places around the world and enjoys sharing his passion for scuba diving and marine life with students and certified divers.
Andrew manages the dive centre and helps divers with equipment, courses and practical scuba advice. He is a helpful point of contact for all things scuba related.
Jordan is an underwater photographer and explorer who loves spotting interesting marine life and sharing Sydney’s underwater world with his dive buddies and students.
Jess combines PADI instruction with a marine biology background and enjoys helping divers understand the species, habitats and behaviours they see underwater in Sydney.
Jamie is a highly experienced sidemount and recreational rebreather instructor trainer who supports divers and instructors developing specialist skills.
Wei brings attention to detail, patience and an engineering mindset to his teaching, helping students learn in a way that suits their individual needs.
Ahmed is based in Sydney and balances a full-time engineering career with part-time scuba instruction, helping students take their first steps into the underwater world.
Irene is a PADI Instructor known for a calm teaching style and enthusiasm for the underwater world. Originally from Spain, she discovered scuba diving after moving to Australia.
Robin is a divemaster and technical diver who enjoys wreck diving and searching for both the smallest and largest marine life seen around Sydney dive sites.
