Choosing Your Next Sydney Dive
This tool is for certified divers who are not sure what to book next — including newly certified divers, rusty divers, solo divers, experienced divers returning after a break, and divers looking for marine life, social dives, skills or local Sydney adventures.
Do I need a buddy to dive with Abyss?
No. Many divers come solo. We can guide the dive, suggest buddy-friendly options, and help you choose a suitable group dive. Start with the matcher or browse the Sydney dive calendar.
What if I am nervous or rusty?
That is normal. We can recommend easy guided dives, refreshers or private support where appropriate. You can also view the scuba refresher course.
Will this recommend dives beyond my certification?
No. Recommendations are matched to your certification, depth limit, total dives, confidence and recent experience.
What if I am experienced but have not dived recently?
We will respect your experience and recommend a suitable re-entry option. You will not be treated like a new diver simply because your recent diving has been quieter.
Can this help me find social or marine-life dives?
Yes. Choose social or marine life as your goal and we will use that preference to help match you with suitable local options, including guided dives, club-style dives and Sydney marine-life experiences.
