Bo’s journey
From an uncertain first dive to Course Director
Bo’s first Discover Scuba Diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef began with uncertainty. It became the start of a career devoted to helping other people replace nerves with confidence.
His path has taken him through the Seychelles, Thailand, the Maldives, Bali and Sydney. Along the way, he developed the teaching control, cultural awareness and service standards he now brings to Abyss students and instructor candidates.

- Great Barrier Reef A first scuba experience became the beginning of a lifelong passion.
- Professional foundations By 2013, Bo was training regularly with his local PADI centre and progressed to PADI Divemaster in the Seychelles.
- Instructor training and the Maldives · 2015 Bo completed his IDC in Koh Tao, then taught hundreds of guests their first dives at Anantara Kihavah Villas.
- PADI Course Director · 2022 He completed the Course Director Training Course in Phuket before later joining Abyss in Sydney.
- Abyss Scuba Diving · today Bo develops new divers, specialty students and future dive professionals.
