About Abyss Scuba Diving
Abyss Scuba Diving is Sydney’s award-winning PADI dive centre, based in Ramsgate and built around one simple idea: help people learn safely, dive regularly and feel part of a real local diving community.
Since 2000, Abyss has helped Sydney divers take their first breaths underwater, explore local marine life, progress through PADI training and find dive buddies through guided dives, social events and club adventures.

Our Story
Abyss Scuba Diving was founded by Peter Letts, owner and PADI Course Director, with the goal of making scuba training safer, more personal and more inspiring for Sydney divers. Today the team includes Course Directors, instructors, divemasters, freediving instructors, marine-life educators and local dive guides.
Rachael Fallon, General Manager and PADI Course Director, is one of the senior leaders behind the team’s diver education, instructor development and innovation. Together, the Abyss team supports complete beginners, certified divers, returning divers and people working toward professional training.
Based in Ramsgate, Diving Across Sydney
Abyss is located at 278 Rocky Point Road, Ramsgate NSW 2217, close to many of Sydney’s most popular shore and boat diving options. From beginner-friendly local sites to shark, seal and marine-life adventures, the team helps divers choose experiences that suit their certification, comfort and conditions.
Popular pathways include guided Sydney dives, marine-life dives, shark and seal diving adventures, and continuing education for divers who want to go further.
