Choose Your PADI Open Water Course Date
Choose an available start date below. You will complete PADI eLearning, learn the skills in the pool and make four ocean dives, with a maximum of four students per instructor.
Standard complete course package: $699. Required PADI eLearning, all scuba equipment for the course, pool training, four ocean dives, certification and student dive injury and evacuation insurance are included.

Before your course
- eLearning and medical: Complete the required PADI eLearning and your dive medical questionnaire before training. Doctor clearance is needed only when your questionnaire answers require it.
- Transport: Transport between Abyss and the dive sites is included. If you are travelling by train, contact Abyss in advance about collection from Kogarah Station. Home-address pickup is not provided.
Cancellation & transfer policy — View Terms
We understand that plans can change. To keep courses running smoothly and places available for other students, these conditions apply:
- 7 or more days before your scheduled in-water training: You may cancel and receive a full refund of the in-water portion of your course fee.
- More than 24 hours but fewer than 7 days before your scheduled in-water training: A $100 transfer fee applies if you move your course to another date.
- Within 24 hours of your scheduled in-water training: A $200 transfer fee applies if you move your course to another date.
- Missing required medical clearance on the day: If you cannot participate because your required medical form or clearance is incomplete or missing, a $200 transfer fee applies.
- Incomplete eLearning: If your eLearning is not completed before your course and your training must be postponed, a $200 postponement fee applies.
Please complete your eLearning and any required medical form or clearance before your course starts to avoid transfer or postponement fees.
