Marine Marvels Dives
Sydney’s coastline hides an incredible underwater world that many divers swim past without ever truly noticing. Marine Marvels Dives are designed to slow the dive down, helping you discover the behaviours, camouflage and ecosystems that make Sydney one of the world’s great temperate-water diving destinations.
Led by experienced marine biologists, these guided dives combine relaxed underwater exploration with fascinating insights into the marine life you encounter. Instead of simply seeing “a fish” or “a reef,” you begin to recognise hunting behaviours, breeding activity, camouflage techniques and the delicate balance of Sydney’s underwater environment.

What You May Encounter
Each Marine Marvels Dive is different depending on the season, conditions and dive site. Possible encounters include:
- Weedy Seadragons
- Port Jackson Sharks
- Blue Gropers
- Giant Cuttlefish
- Octopus and Squid
- Nudibranchs and macro critters
- Wobbegongs
- Schools of fish and seasonal marine life
Cancellation Policy
Marine Marvels Dives are covered by our local dive booking terms. Please read the policy below before booking so you understand the cancellation, transfer and weather arrangements that apply.
Dive Booking Cancellations and Transfers
- More than 3 days before the dive: refund issued, less a $25 administration fee.
- Within 3 days of the dive: no refund.
- Failure to attend: no refund; rebooking is at full cost.
- One free date transfer is permitted with more than 3 days’ notice. Subsequent changes, or transfers within 3 days, incur a $100 rebooking fee.
- Dives may be transferred to another person at any time for a $100 rebooking fee.
- If you fail to complete the scheduled dive(s) during the scheduled time, any remaining dive(s) are forfeited.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time. Refunds or credits will not be issued for late arrivals, including delays caused by traffic or parking difficulties.
Weather and Safety
If Abyss Scuba Diving cancels due to unsafe conditions, including weather, you may transfer to another date within 12 months. Any difference in price at the time of rebooking will apply.
Gear Rental Cancellations
If rental gear is added to your booking, the following gear hire cancellation terms apply:
- More than 48 hours before pickup: refund less 20% of the hire fee, minimum $10.
- 48–24 hours before pickup: 50% of the hire fee retained.
- Less than 24 hours before pickup or no-show: 100% of the hire fee retained.
