Part-Time Option

PADI Divemaster Internships Deposit

Securing your place in our PADI Divemaster Internship is straightforward. To reserve your spot, you are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500. Upon receipt of your deposit, one of our esteemed PADI Course Directors will personally contact you. The purpose of this communication is to organize the precise arrangements and dates, and to guide you on how to proceed further.

For those considering a part-time option, we cater to your unique needs. Our Course Director will discuss a custom schedule that accommodates your individual requirements.

It is also worth noting that the program's payment can be comfortably spread out between now and the commencement of the course. This flexibility ensures that your focus remains on the enriching experience of becoming a PADI Divemaster.

Time Commitment for a Divemaster Internship Program

Individuals who pursue the full-time course will commit for a period of nine weeks, with an additional time commitment if they desire to reach PADI dive Instructor or Master Scuba Trainer levels. Those opting for part-time attendance can expect approximately six months of weekend classes. For those immersed in the full-time program, five days per week are expected from each student.


Program Prerequisites 
Be a certified diver, a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent (if certified by an agency other than PADI, don't hesitate to get in touch with the dive centre).
Be 18 years or older at the commencement of the divemaster course.
Provide a diving medical within the last 12 months. (medical form)

Inclusions: 

  • All training to achieve a PADI divemaster qualification
  • All experience to help you become a confident PADI Divemaster, including 60 logged dives.
  • Up to five days of scuba dive gear rental if needed. 
  • Boat dives and shore dives.
  • Tanks and weights for the duration of the program (other Equipment can be rented or purchased at a discounted rate)

Professional Level Dive Instructors

Are you a certified diver interested in taking your professional dive journey further than just Divemaster? If so, this internship can help. Whether it's becoming a PADI Dive Instructor or even a PADI Master Scuba Trainer, all of these levels are possible with our program and is already indicated on the booking page. The estimated time needed to reach each level varies; four weeks for a fully trained PADI Dive Instructor and nine weeks to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

1. What is the PADI Divemaster Internship?

The PADI Divemaster Internship is an immersive learning program that allows aspiring divemasters to become certified professionals in scuba diving. The internship includes theoretical and practical instruction from experienced divers and hands-on experience as a PADI Divemaster.

2. What are the requirements for the PADI Divemaster Internship?

To become a certified PADI Divemaster, you must be 18 or older, complete an Open Water Certification program, and demonstrate medical fitness to dive.

3. What are the Visa Requirements to do the Internship?

A tourist visa will only be necessary to participate in the internships if you decide to participate. Depending on your country of origin, you can select a visa that lasts three, six, or 12 months. If you plan to complete both the Divemaster and Instructor training programs, it is advisable to choose a visa that lasts for at least six months. If you are interested in staying longer, you can obtain either a Work Holiday Visa or a Working Holiday Visa (depending on your nationality category), enabling you to work part-time while completing the program and after completion.

It is important to note that if your goal is to progress beyond the Divemaster level and become an Instructor, you will not need to obtain a WorkingHoliday or Working Holiday visa. However, the visa requirement is mandatory if you aspire to become a Divemaster and would like to explore the Great Barrier Reef.

The Divemaster Internship usually spans nine weeks, although this timeframe may be adjusted according to your abilities and available hours. You'll get hands-on practice with dives as well as take theoretical tests during the program, giving you a comprehensive result that prepares you for diving mastery.
