Core PADI courses covered include Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Nitrox / Enriched Air, Deep Diver, Dive Equipment Specialist, Freediver Specialty and the PADI Divemaster Course. The internship is designed to build professional leadership skills. As your training progresses, you will learn how to assist, brief, support and supervise divers within PADI standards and under appropriate professional guidance.

One of the Abyss PADI Course Directors will contact you to review your current certification level, logged dives, medical status, timeframe and goals. Your training plan is then built around your pathway.

A standard IDC focuses on preparing you for instructor certification. The Instructor Internship includes IDC preparation, but also adds EFR Instructor training, team teaching, student certifications, shop experience, marketing and business workshops, resume support and job-placement guidance.

The package includes the Instructor Development Course and associated fees, PADI EFR Instructor Course, bonus Nitrox Instructor rating with PADI fee only, team teaching with 25 student certifications, hands-on shop experience, marketing and business workshops, resume support, job-placement help, and unlimited tanks and weights.

You should be a PADI Divemaster, PADI Assistant Instructor or hold an equivalent qualifying leadership rating.
