Choose an available start date below. You will complete PADI eLearning, learn the skills in the pool and make four ocean dives, with a maximum of four students per instructor.

Standard complete course package: $699. Required PADI eLearning, all scuba equipment for the course, pool training, four ocean dives, certification and student dive injury and evacuation insurance are included.

Before your course

eLearning and medical: Complete the required PADI eLearning and medical questionnaire by the deadlines in your course information. If your questionnaire requires clearance from a doctor, you must provide it before training; you cannot participate without any required clearance.
Transport: Transport between Abyss and the dive sites is included. If you are travelling by train, contact Abyss in advance about collection from Kogarah Station. Home-address pickup is not provided.

Cancellation, refund & transfer policy — View full terms

We understand that plans can change. The following conditions apply when you cancel, request a transfer or do not attend:

Cancellations and refunds

7 days or more before your scheduled course start: You may cancel and receive a refund, less the disclosed cost of any eLearning, access codes or training materials already supplied.
Fewer than 7 days before your scheduled course start: No refund is available. You may request a transfer under the transfer policy below.
Bookings made within 7 days of the course start: The no-refund period applies immediately. You may only request a transfer under the transfer policy below.
Non-attendance: No refund or automatic transfer applies if you do not attend your course.

Transfers

7 days or more before your scheduled course start: No transfer fee applies.
More than 24 hours but fewer than 7 days before your scheduled course start: A $100 transfer fee applies.
24 hours or less before your scheduled course start: A $200 transfer fee applies.

Transfers are subject to availability, and the applicable transfer fee must be paid before a replacement date is confirmed.

eLearning, medical requirements and commenced courses

eLearning and training materials: Once issued, activated or supplied, their disclosed cost is non-refundable where Abyss cannot cancel, recover, transfer or reuse them.
Medical requirements: If illness, injury or missing required medical clearance prevents you from attending, the standard cancellation and transfer conditions still apply. A medical certificate does not automatically entitle you to a refund or fee-free transfer.
After your course has commenced: No change-of-mind refund is available after any instructor-led session has started. If Abyss agrees to reschedule incomplete training, a $100 fee applies, or $125 for a course expressly sold as a budget course.

These conditions apply to customer-requested cancellations and changes and do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where Abyss cancels a course or fails to meet a consumer guarantee. Please read the complete course terms and conditions before booking.
