Palm Tree Icon A Relaxed Family Holiday

After your flight, you’ll be met by our local driver for the scenic transfer to your accommodation. On the way, we can stop at the local supermarket, bottle shop and fruit markets so you can pick up supplies for the trip.

The accommodation is set on the ocean with a beautiful outlook, a lovely pool and a relaxed island feel. Each morning, we’ll head out for a double dive, with snacks between dives. Most days we expect to be back around lunch time, leaving your afternoons free to relax, kayak, explore the area or enjoy time together as a family.

Meals are flexible. Continental breakfast is included each morning, with toast, cereal and fresh fruit available for you to help yourself. Lunches and dinners are not included, so you can self-cater or catch a local bus to a range of local restaurants in the area.

FAQ Icon FAQs

Can Junior Open Water divers join?
Yes. Junior Open Water divers are welcome. They must dive within their certification, age limits and depth limits, and parent or guardian supervision is required.

Can non-diving children come?
Yes. Non-diving children are welcome, subject to rooming availability and family supervision.

How does child pricing work?
Child pricing is based on room setup. The first two people in each room are standard package places. Children under 14 only receive the extra-child rate when they are the 3rd or 4th person in that room.

What if one adult travels with one child?
That uses one room with two people, so both guests are charged as standard package places. The extra-child rate does not apply because the child is not the 3rd or 4th person in the room.

What if one adult travels with two children?
This is usually priced as two standard package places plus one extra-child place. Rooming must be confirmed by Abyss.

What if two parents travel with three children?
This requires two rooms. It is usually priced as four standard package places plus one extra-child place. Abyss must confirm the rooming before final confirmation.

Can non-diving partners come?
Yes. Non-diving partners are welcome. A standard non-diver place is $1,395, land-only.

Is Nitrox included?
No. Nitrox is not included on the 2026 Vanuatu family departures. It is planned for future Vanuatu trips once the compressor setup is complete.

Is gear hire included?
Tanks and weights are included for divers. Other dive gear is available for rental if required, at extra cost.

What meals are included?
Continental breakfast is included each morning. Lunches, dinners and drinks are not included. You can self-cater or visit local restaurants.

Should I book flights now?
Please do not book flights until Abyss confirms your place and confirms the trip is proceeding. Flights are not included in the package price.

How many people are required for the trip to proceed?
A minimum of 6 people is required for the trip to proceed. The maximum group size is 12 guests.

Is there a single supplement?
Yes. The single supplement is $110 per night, subject to availability.

Is there a standard Vanuatu trip for adults?
