FIVE POINTS OF MERINO
Thermal Control
The MerinoTM lining in a wet suit absorbs and retains any water entering the suit. The retained water swells in the MerinoTM lining. In laboratory tests, MerinoTM held 30% more water than the best synthetic linings. This is because Merino^TM fibres absorbs moisture whereas synthetics can not. This creates a water-logged layer of up to 3mm between the neoprene and your skin and with Merino^TM having exothermic properties, releasing heat as it absorbs water; this helps you to warm your ‘water-skin’ quicker.
Comfort
Merino’s^TM super soft composition and fine micron count eliminates the prickle associated with other wools, which can feel itchy against the skin. The softness of MerinoTM reduces rashes caused by continuous movement in high action areas, such as under the arm. Because of Merino’s^TM ability to draw moisture away from the fibre’s surface, it eliminates the sharp cold feeling associated with donning a damp wetsuit.
Renewable
MerinoTM is sustainable resource whereas synthetic linings are constructed from petrochemicals; MerinoTM is as natural and organic as your own skin. Sure, MerinoTM has proven to be a far more efficient wet suit lining than synthetics. Sure, it is exothermic on wetting, faster self-draining and more hygienic. Odour Resistance

Constructed in a combination of 7mm and 5mm neoprene and inner-lined throughout with patented MerinoTM. Roll-down collar allows freedom of head movement without breaking the neck seal. Pre-bent arms and legs with super-stretch action gussets on the inner curve of the elbows and knees for increased mobility and comfort. Premium wrist seal system made with super-flex outer, O-ring cuffs and internal Orcaskin™ chimney seal for reduced water entry and comfort. Heavy-duty "small-diamond" outer in main wear-areas resisting cuts and abrasions.

The best suit for entry-level sports divers, the elite wet suit is a one piece rear-entry suit providing simple donning and comfort with the warmth of the patented MerinoTM lining. Constructed in a combination of 7mm and 5mm neoprene and MerinoTM lined torso. Rear entry zipper has a smoothskin seal with a 10mm backing flap for spinal protection. Wrist seal system with O’ring cuffs and internal OrcaskinTM seal for reduced water entry. Ankle sealing system includes a locking zipper and an internal chimney seal to eliminate water transfer. Roll-down collar allows freedom of head movement while maintaining a watertight seal.

Hooded Vest

Incorporating all of the features of our 5mm wet suit hood, Paragon hooded vests add a 3mm attached vest for additional warmth. The MerinoTM Lined version adds a layer of patented MerinoTM insulation and a unique collar system, providing 35% more warmth than a standard hooded vest. Both vests are ideal to use with wet suits or as a stand-alone products in warm waters.
