PADI mermaid training is a program that teaches people how to swim like a mermaid. The program is offered through PADI, the world’s largest scuba diving organization.
Anyone over the age of 10 can participate in PADI mermaid training. There are three levels of training available so that participants can progress at their own pace.
While the PADI Mermaid Program is undoubtedly an excellent choice for women, male participants are just as captivated by its allure and account for a considerable portion of those who partake in mermaid diving.
Absolutely, anyone can participate in PADI Mermaid Training regardless of swimming skill; yet those who are not adept swimmers may want to opt for the Discover mermaid program. For the basic mermaid and PADI mermaid course you must have the ability to swim 25m and 50 meters, respectively.
In PADI mermaid training, participants will learn how to swim with a tail and perform basic underwater manoeuvres. They will also learn about ocean conservation and safety.
The length of PADI mermaid training varies depending on the training being taken. Discover Mermaid training takes two hours, Basic Mermaiding takes half a day and The PADI mermaid course takes a full day.
All participants must bring a bathing suit and towel to PADI mermaid training. Those taking the basic mermaid or PADI Mermaid course will also need to bring their own mask, snorkel, a pair of scuba fins or snorkeling fins and wetsuit. These can be rented from Abyss Scuba Diving on the day of the course.
For everyone's security and delight, we demand that all members be at least 10 years old. For anyone under 18, their parents or guardians must approve the participation in our program by signing an agreement form first.
