Dive Sydney’s Japanese Mini Sub

To mark the 70th anniversary, the Japanese mini sub will be opened to a controlled amount of divers

In 1942 a fleet of 3 Japanese mini subs launched an attack on navy vessels stationed in Sydney harbour and were scuttled in the attempt. 70 years later to mark  the anniversary of the event, New South Wales Environment Minister Robyn Parker said controlled diving would be allowed.

“Diver access will be on a trial basis and the move is strongly supported by both the Commonwealth and the Japanese governments,”  – Robyn Parker

We think this will be a cool dive, but what do you think? Is it ok to open up a WWII grave site for recreation??
