The day began with basic training on helicopter protocole, we then did a snorkel jump from the helicopter. At this stage we were bought bvack to shore by lifesavers on scooters and then finally we did a jump from the helicopter in full scuba gear.
When I think back to the day we went helidiving the word action packed springs to mind. It was nerve racking, exhilarating, extreme, adrenaline pumping and fun all in one go. We had a great bunch of daredevil who were up to the challenges of helicopter diving.

Undoubtable the most adrenalin rush scuba diving activity to last several lifetimes. The atmosphere is incredible, hyped up by the other enthusiastic, courageous but not insane helijumpers. The rotor blades are within arms reach away when balancing on the skids of the chopper in full scuba gear hovering metres above the ocean. You receive the countdown 3, 2, 1 and J U M P!!! Emerging from the huge plunge, being greeted by the other excited jumpers at the drop zone was a sensation out of this world. If you dont jump next time around, youll be too old for the next time.
Thanks to Hyperbaric Helicopter Rescue Services, Abyss Scuba Diving, all the other helijumpers and support people for making the day so fun and enjoyable.

The Helidive was awesome! At first I was really nervous, but being up there just about to jump out was one of the best feelings in the world, I can't wait until I can do it again! The jet-ski ride was awesome too. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic day!

The main thing the guys who run this endeavour told us was, that gravity does most of the work. The thing they forgot to tell us is that, you'd be hoping that gravity would take it's time for once, because the buzz from jumping out of a helicopter after you've just zoomed your way towards the site, is unreal. From the second I got in to the second I jumped, I was running on pure adrenaline, and wished it could have lasted forever.

As the Helicopter banked and turned sharply for the practice dive, the seat belt was only thing that stopped me from falling out headfirst into the water, I knew I was in for a thrill of a lifetime and it didn't let me down. The jump with my scuba equipment came and went too quickly, can't wait for the next time!!!
