PADI Certification: Master Scuba Trainer

Ali learned to dive back in 2003 and was hooked immediately. She followed up straight away with her Advanced Open Water course however was only diving recreationally as she was working in Investment Banking in the Derivatives Markets both here in Sydney and in London. 

Ali left banking permanently to raise her three beautiful daughters, and during that time opened a cafe on the central coast. After selling the business and moving back to Sydney, Ali came along to an Abyss Careers night and knew immediately that not only did she want to become a PADI Professional, but she also wanted to be a part of the Abyss family. 

After completing the Abyss Internship programs, Ali attained her Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification and proudly joined the Abyss Team. Ali believes there is always more you can learn and hopes to keep continuing her training. She recently also became a PADI Freediver.

While Ali is proud of what she has achieved, she is even more proud that she was able to set the example to her kids that you can achieve anything if you are prepared to work hard for it. 

Ali loves to teach Open Water as she feels that she is helping to open up a whole new world for people to explore, and she see's it as a privilege to work with people and see a genuine love for the underwater world emerge. 

Ali's favourite student was her own daughter, Hannah, who she taught to dive for her 11th birthday and has since become her favourite dive buddy!

Ali has dived around the East coast, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, her favourite dive being with Bull sharks in Fiji. She looks forward to teaching many more people so they can have the same adventures that she's had!
