Abyss Scuba Diving

Rae began diving with us at Abyss Scuba Diving in 2020 and fell in love from day one. From the very start, Rae's passion for protecting marine life and exploring shipwrecks was obvious.

Rae's love of shipwrecks and sharks came from her background as a secondary History teacher and her many years of experience working and volunteering in the animal welfare field.

Being able to get underwater and explore some of our lost history was a big draw card to learn to dive. In learning to dive, Rae also found that she could continue advocating for the protection and conservation of our underwater marine life.

Rae loves being able to share her passion and knowledge for sharks, shipwrecks and the ocean with our clients that come along on our dives.

Outside of diving and work, Rae is an accomplished athlete, representing Australia in Powerlifting (and receiving Bronze for our country) and winning her professional status as a fitness model. If you can't find Rae at the bottom of the ocean, you will be sure to find her in the gym or looking after her little zoo of animals at home!
