Scuba Diving with Seals is an Amazing Experience You Won't Soon Forget!

Scuba diving is an incredible activity you can enjoy in Sydney all year round. However, there is something especially special about scuba diving in Sydney during our annual seal season.

  • When to Dive During the Seal Season in Sydney?
Although you can scuba dive in Sydney all year round, the best time to do it is during the seal season. This usually falls between June and September. The water is clearer, and the seas are calmer during this time, making it more enjoyable for both new and experienced divers. Plus, you will have a chance to see seals up close!

Diving during the seal season is an incredible experience that you will not soon forget! So put on your dive gear and enjoy the underwater world!

  • Where can you dive with seals in Sydney?
The seals are located Martin Island a 10-minute boat ride from the Port Kembla Harbour.
Normally there are between 20- 80 seals on the island and in the water around the island. Scuba diving with seals is an amazing experience because you can get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures, see them underwater and watching them play and interacting with each other.

  • What is scuba diving with seals?
Scuba diving with seals can be an extremely rewarding experience. They are curious about you, and they would love to play with you. If you have an underwater rattle or underwater horn, use the noise to attract them to you. Move around, twist and turn, and copy them, and they will interact with you. The more you interact with them the more they will interact with you.

  • How can you get a free bonus seal dive?
